Building up the Body of Christ with welcoming arms, loving hearts and joyful worship.
This Sunday join us for one of four Masses—Saturday at 4:30pm, or Sunday at 8am, 10am and Noon. Each Mass will be able to accommodate up to 108 parishioners. The safeguards include all those important things we’re used to doing when going out into public areas—wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and using hand sanitizer. It also includes our ability to disinfect and clean all surfaces that we may come in contact with before, during, and after Masses.
Registration opens at 6PM on Wednesdays and extends through noon on Saturday.
Before making a reservation, please read the Parishioner Reopening Guide provided by the Archdiocese of Chicago. It will help familiarize you with what church attendance procedures will look like during our present state of reopening. Each person is required to have a reservation for contact tracing purposes mandated by the CDC.
If you sign up and your plans change, please be sure to cancel your reservation so other families may attend.
Please help those without an internet connection, or those who don't feel comfortable using it. Encourage friends and family to call the Parish Office at 847-885-7700 and dial extension 102 to register. Please be sure to leave your name, a valid phone number and the number of people who are interested in attending. We will return your call to confirm everything. Need Help signing up? While our parish staff will attempt to take appropriate precautions consistent with the advice of public health authorities, parishioners and guests should understand that they assume the risk of contracting COVID-19 any time they enter a public space since such precautions do not eliminate the risk of infection.
We put together a video if you would like to see what’s involved—especially the protocols around receiving the Eucharist. There continues to be no physical exchanges at the sign of peace (except for those living together in the same house), and receiving of the host only in the hand. Plus, here is a challenging new directive. Even though we love to sing at St. Hubert, we’re being asked not to do so until things begin to change. But don’t let that stop your heart from singing (or humming along!) especially when we hear some of the songs we love and know so well.

Thank you, everyone, for your patience as we bring more and more parishioners into church for Masses. As you’ve been seeing, we are taking precautions so that we create a safe environment for us to be together when the time comes.
When you’re able to come for Mass, two good resources to review before arriving are the Parishioner Reopening Guide prepared by the Archdiocese, and our St. Hubert “What to Expect” video. These resources also importantly explain how we’ll prepare to receive Holy Communion.
Here are some other good things to know:
We appreciate your understanding of our need to follow these protocols as we try to look out for one another. These are extraordinary times, but nothing more extraordinary than knowing Jesus Christ finds a way to break through barriers and come into our lives. One day, we’ll be fully together without worrying about reserving a place or waiting for communion.
Please join us on Tuesdays from 5:00 - 7:00 PM to experience the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Here is a short video that captures what the experience will be like as we follow the protocols for hand sanitizing, wearing masks and social distancing. All shared surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized before and after your visit. Also, please note that if the times we offer Reconciliation do not work for you, but you'd like to receive the Sacrament, contact Fr. Mike directly to set something up. He can be reached at mscherschel@sainthubert.org or at 847-885-7700 ext. 106.
Sign up for Reconciliation ends on Mondays at 5:00 PM, but if you do not have the chance to sign-up ahead of time you can also sign in at the door. The sign-up program will tell you how many places are available to give you a feel for how many people are planning to attend, and you'll receive an email confirmation where you can even cancel or modify your plans.
Our Saint Hubert reopen team also suggested we keep the church open for private prayer during the same time. So please know the church will be available if you'd like to stop in on Tuesday evenings to pray--again between the hours of 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
