Thank you for your kind donations to support the food pantry at Church of the Holy Spirit. They are greatly appreciated and will be put to good use. The number of families using the food pantry has increased significantly in the past few years. Our monthly Food Drive is on March 18 & 19 and will benefit the St. Marcelline Food Bank.
Your donations of food this year broke the weight scales! St. Aloysius Parish was grateful to receive your donations of food to make this Thanksgiving a memorable one, as their pantry shelves were extremely low. And, your generosity of $1,160.00 of donated gift cards was able to supplement family Thanksgiving tables. Again, THANK YOU ALL and may God continue to bless you and your families for all you do to support our sharing parish.
Join us at 6 PM in the PMC Club Room for our All Networking Meeting. Children who have been exposed to domestic violence often learn destructive lessons about the use of violence and power in relationships in addition to the physical, behavioral, psychological, and cognitive effects. These lessons can have a powerful negative effect on children in social situations and relationships throughout childhood and in later life.

The 3rd of the 7 Themes of Catholic Social Teaching is Rights and Responsibilities. Our St. Hubert parishioners participate in a variety of ministries, and one, in the Catholic tradition is Community Life. This vital ministry contributes money and goods for the needs of both parishioners and the community at large. It distributes financial aid to needy parishioners and neighbors to assist them with paying rent, utility and medical bills and purchasing perishable food.
The 2nd of 7 Themes of Catholic Social Teaching is Call to Family, Community and Participation. Our Domestic Violence Outreach Ministry (DVOM) supports this call by raising awareness of domestic violence through parish outreach and communication efforts; supporting those affected by providing referrals to professional resources and spiritual guidance; and promoting healthy relationships and fostering the prevention of domestic violence by educating our community.
The 1st of the 7 Themes of Catholic Social Teaching is Life and Dignity of the Human Person. The St. Hubert Respect Life Ministry, in response to the Gospel of Life, commits to prayer, education and action in defense of life.
