Jesus promised to St. Margaret Mary over and over again that those who consecrate themselves to His loving Heart and fervently practice this devotion will be showered with graces and blessings. In 1882, an Ohio businessman named Philip Kemper collected these promises from her writings, and made a list of the principal ones, which he then printed and disseminated throughout the world. These became known as the famous “Twelve Promises” of the Sacred Heart:
