The Ministry of Care provides communion to those unable to come to church, whether they are homebound, hospitalized, or in nursing homes. Given the growing number of residents in local nursing homes, requests we receive for visits to the homebound, and changes in the lives of our Ministers of Care, we need to expand our Ministry of Care group.
This program is designed for persons to be commissioned and mandated as Ministers of Care, in their respective parishes. Ministers will visit and take the Eucharist to those who are hospitalized, in nursing homes or confined to private homes.
