Whether your family is just entering the Church or returning to the practice of the Catholic Faith, all are welcome to inquire about sacramental preparation through the OCIA Process. If your children haven’t received any religious education and consequently have missed receiving their sacraments, now is the time to call and start a journey back to the Church for yourself and your children. Children’s Ministry of Initiation will be starting new sessions on October 15.
The Catechumenate for Children/Teens, which is an Adaptation of the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA), is the process by which unbaptized young people of the age of reason come into the Church. Older children who are already baptized, but who are uncatechized, also can prepare to celebrate the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist together with their peers during the Easter Vigil or at a Rite of Full Communion.
Do you have an older child who has not been baptized? Do you have a son or daughter who is past the age of seven/eight who has not received First Communion? CMI at St. Hubert is designed for those children who are un-baptized or un-catechized. Sacramental Preparation Classes will be held on the St Hubert Campus and begin Sunday October 15

Rite of Welcome on May 7 at the 10:00 AM Mass. This year all the children in CMI are baptized Catholics. They are all preparing for the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. They will make public their intention to follow Jesus and continue in sacramental preparation for the initiation sacraments. From this point on, these children, who are already baptized, will be called candidates. Watch for their photos on our kiosk in the narthex of the church.
Families of preschoolers and kindergarteners are invited to join us on January 28 for a morning of fun with cookie decorating, games, music, and even an indoor snowball fight! We hope to see you there. Sign up today!
The love, joy and peace that Jesus brought into the world are always present. Even if we have been away from the Church, God is continually inviting us to dwell in his love and presence. Have you and your family been "away" from the Catholic Church? Is your family trying to find its way back? Now would be a great time to make a new connection with the Catholic Church.
The Christmas Spirit is meant to be experienced throughout the year. The love, joy and peace that Jesus brought into the world are always present. Even if we have been away from the Church, God is continually inviting us to dwell in his love and presence. Children’s Ministry of Initiation (CMI) encourages you to call and see how you and your children can experience a journey back to God and the faith community of the Church. New classes will begin in the fall of 2023 but now would be a great time to make a new connection with the Catholic Church.

During last Sunday’s 10:00 AM liturgy two adults and one child participated in the Rite of Welcome and Acceptance. They publicly declared their intention to seek baptism or full communion with the Catholic Church. The public declaration of faith by those seeking admission to our community can be a powerful support to our own faith. They remind us to probe anew and so welcome and accept more deeply in our own lives, “the immeasurable riches of grace in God’s kindness to us in Christ Jesus.” Please read their bios and continue to pray for them.

Whether your family is just entering the Church or returning to the practice of the Catholic faith, all are welcome to inquire about sacramental preparation through the OCIA Process, formerly known as RCIA. Children’s Ministry of Initiation (CMI) meets on Sunday mornings. It is a two year sacramental process, which is an adaptation of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults for children under the age of 14. Regular attendance of both the child and at least one parent is expected.
This is an invitational process that provides families and students with an opportunity to explore issues of faith and to receive the Sacraments. The CMI process helps students deepen their faith through an experience of God with other people on a journey of faith.
