Choirs will start rehearsing and singing again on the first week of September, after Labor Day. Please contact Ed Magistrado for more information or to sign up.
St. Hubert Parish invites you to find out about Jesus and the Church He founded. Come learn his teachings and discover how to put these teachings into practice by living in a Catholic community, through worship, prayer and service. We meet on Tuesday evenings. Sessions began August 23, 2022. We are scheduling interviews for those thinking about joining the Catholic Church or Adult Catholics wishing to complete the Sacraments of Initiation.
The success of our Religious Education program is due to our dedicated, committed, volunteers, who faithfully come week after week to teach our children. We need more people to join them for the coming school year. Help is needed in the following areas: 4th Grade Catechist and adult aides on Wednesdays 4:00 – 5:30 PM & Adult Aides on Sundays 7:20 - 9 PM.
St. Hubert Petition Ministry is in need of volunteers (who become our “ministers of prayer”) to help write these petitions for the Sunday and Holy Day Masses. If you are interested in sharing your time, prayers, and talents with the parish family, please contact Judi Stein to inquire or volunteer.

This past Monday, Church of the Holy Spirit hosted the “Grouping Feedback & Discernment Teams” of Saint Hubert, Church of the Holy Spirit, Saint Marcelline and Saint Matthew. We received an overview of the process and had a chance to talk about the Cardinal’s vision, which isn’t just to look at how the parishes in our area should be structured, but to also find ways to renew the spiritual life of our Archdiocese.
The St. Hubert Prayer Shawl Ministry will begin its 16th year of creating lovely shawls that have been made with special prayers woven into the stitches. Our first meeting of the fall season will be on Sunday, September 11th at 1:15 PM in the Dorothy Day Room at the Parish Ministry Center. We provide yarn and fleece. We will even teach you how to make these shawls. Our meetings are filled with joy, prayer, and fellowship. Won't you consider joining our dedicated group?
Our Parish Food and Gift Card Drive, held on August 20 and 21st, was very successful. St. Marcelline picked up your food donations and gift cards amounting to $575. These gift cards will assist their food pantry clients with additional food items and other necessary items for the family household. Thank you one and all for your generous donations.
On behalf of the Sisters of Mary Immaculate of Nyeri, I am deeply grateful for your prayers and financial support which you gave us last weekend in support of Christ’s Mission entrusted to us. Your generosity is a great witness of the good news. I assure you that the donation so kindly given and warmly received will continue to help us make a difference in the lives of those in great need, and in turn witness to the great love God has for them.
At the heart of our Renew My Church efforts is the renewal of vital, sustainable parishes that have the leadership, resources, and vision necessary to create an effective culture of evangelization that makes disciples, builds communities and inspires witness. Our parish is working with Church of the Holy Spirit, St. Marcelline, and St. Matthew as one group to discern and provide input into how we can best structure our parishes and ministries to make disciples, build community, and inspire witness. Together, we are working through stages on a shared journey of renewal.
Fr. Jeremy Thomas of Church of the Holy Spirit, Fr. Tony Bury of St. Marcelline, Fr. Joseph Glab of St. Matthew and I met with Fr. Jason Malave of the Renew My Church team for two afternoons this week to go through the Priest Leadership Program. It was a way to come together and talk about the needs, hopes and desires of our four parishes as we enter into the Renew My Church Process.
Next week, our parish joins Church of the Holy Spirit, Saint Matthew and Saint Marcelline as we embark on the Renew My Parish process. In addition to Fr. Mike, we’re blessed to introduce our other Saint Hubert representatives who will be sitting at the table and discussing the needs of the Church in the Hoffman Estates/Schaumburg area.
The 7th of the Catholic Church’s Seven Themes for Catholic Social Teaching is Care for God’s Creation. Our St. Hubert Parish family manifests God’s call to cultivate and care for the environment through the Environment & Art ministry, whose mission serves to foster good liturgy and create awareness of the holiness of the Mass. If you are interested in becoming part of a new Environmental ministry, please contact Deacon Allen Tatara.
The Grouping Feedback & Discernment Team (GFDT) will begin the RMC discernment process by getting to know more about the parishes in our grouping. Beginning next week, they will meet on a weekly basis to discuss and prayerfully discern the ministerial and operational strengths and challenges of the parishes and schools within our particular grouping. Parish Conversations for all parishioners to attend will be on Monday, September 26, 7 PM in Church Lower Level.
As part of the Renew My Church process, each of our four parishes has formed what’s being called a “Grouping Feedback and Discernment Team.” Each team includes parishioners and parish staff who will represent each parish and are willing to follow the inspiration of renewing the Church. After preliminary meetings next week, including meetings with the Cardinal, the four parish teams will gather at the table beginning August 22 to prayerfully discern spiritual and structural renewal.
As part of the Renew My Church process, each parish forms a Grouping Feedback and Discernment Team. Each team includes parishioners and parish staff that can represent each parish and are willing to fulfill the purpose of the team and follow the inspiration of renewing the Church. We also call upon the Holy Spirit as we prayerfully discern spiritual and structural renewal, or more specifically, models of collaborative parish structures that present the most viable scenarios to effectively carry out the spiritual renewal and mission of the Church in our area.
