Renewal always begins within our own hearts. As we open our hearts to the renewal process, we will pray the special Prayer for Renewal. Reflect upon each line of this prayer slowly and deliberately. Thousands of people across our Archdiocese and beyond are praying these words on behalf of our local Church. Allow this to become your prayer, as well.
A sponsor is an active Catholic that is willing to be a companion to someone going through the OCIA process. As they get acquainted, they listen, answer questions, pray together and connect them with the parish. Sponsors find their role to be one that enriches and deepens their own faith life as well. It is a very rewarding experience.

Children’s Ministry of Initiation (CMI) is a special parish process for families with children, Grades 3 through 8 who are unbaptized, baptized Christian Children from other denominations, or baptized Catholics who would like to prepare for Eucharist and Confirmation by renewing their understanding of their Catholic Faith. Classes begin on October 23.
Every year adults are welcomed into the Catholic Community through OCIA. It is a learning and loving process in which conversion of the heart brings you to Jesus Christ who is our Lord and Savior. This process will present the Catholic faith journey in an open and comfortable environment.
The St. Joseph Icon, blessed by Pope Francis, is the current traveling icon and is being brought to St. Hubert Church on August 1st and 2nd. A special prayer service will be held on Monday, August 1st at 7 PM. We invite and encourage everyone to join in this faith-filled and inspiring prayer service.

We’re blessed to have a diverse faith community—including vocationally. This past Sunday, Brother Exequiel Mapa, CFA, professed his perpetual vows (also known as “final vows”) in the chapel at Alexian Brothers Hospital. It was a beautiful celebration. We’re blessed that Brother Zeke calls Saint Hubert his parish home.

Over the past two weeks we hosted a musical camp. The highlight was a performance of The Jungle Book Jr. on the last day of camp. We look forward to sharing pictures of this performance with you next week.
This weekend St. Hubert will host representatives of Bethlehem Arts, a member of the Catholic Christian Community from Jerusalem and Bethlehem in the Holy Land. Whether your family is just entering the Church or returning to the practice of the Catholic faith, all are welcome to inquire about sacramental preparation through the OCIA Process, formerly known as RCIA. Children’s Ministry of Initiation (CMI) meets on Sunday mornings. It is a two year sacramental process, which is an adaptation of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults for children under the age of 14. Regular attendance of both the child and at least one parent is expected.
This session on July 25 will help job seekers who have specific questions on interviewing strategy to develop and practice interview responses, strengthening their candidacy for successful consideration in the hiring process. This session will allow participants to ask questions and learn from each other.
