The Saint Hubert Job and Networking Ministry continues in its mission to assist the job seeker and job changer with the introduction of “virtual” Accountability/Job Support Group meetings via Zoom. The meetings are a way to address your careering and job connection concerns with one of our team members, as well as one another, learn more about the resources available to job seekers, and to share information and support with a small group of attendees.
With heartfelt blessings, we congratulate Ryan Brady on his ordination to the Diaconate, which took place at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception at Mundelein Seminary. He was ordained August 12 by Cardinal Cupich. Ryan was with us for two years as part of the Mundelein Seminary Teaching Parish Program, and spent almost three months with us while he completed his pastoral internship. He is currently serving at St. James Parish in Arlington Heights. May God complete the good work He has begun in Ryan.
We'd like to believe that when needing support, we all have a family member or friend close by to help out. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Or perhaps, a great deal of support is needed requiring more support than family members are able to provide. The Helping Hands Ministry was formed to assist members in our parish, free of charge, in various ways.
It is always wonderful to have High Schoolers helping in the classrooms with the Religious Education program. Their witness and their influence are invaluable. They have been wholehearted in their participation, giving generously of their time and willing to do whatever was asked of them. Now, after four years, some of our High School Teens are moving on and, although we are sorry to lose them, we wish them well as they begin a new chapter in their lives. The remarkable qualities that they possess promise a bright future ahead.
