JOURNEYS would like to thank everyone that has donated, volunteered, and shared kind words of encouragement over the past month! With your support, JOURNEYS was one of the first homeless organizations in the region to move clients into local hotels to allow them to safely shelter in place and limit their exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
This past Sunday, Divine Mercy Sunday, our parishioners showed their great love and generosity during this challenging times to venture out and drop off food at St. Hubert to help re-stock the shelves at Church of the Holy Spirit Food Pantry. It was amazing to see the amount of food donated and the crew from Church of the Holy Spirit who helped us deliver the food on Monday were also amazed and thankful. Normally with our monthly food collection two cars are enough to take the food. This time there were seven carloads of food!
We are grateful for all those who are making an effort to send in their contributions either through the mail or by dropping them off at the church or parish office. We’re also grateful to those who are giving electronically at Give Central—which is becoming more popular in today’s world, and another way to give when you’re not physically present. Our mission is to be able to build up the Body of Christ in our world around us, and we’re making every effort to keep it going. Thank you for continuing your support in these extraordinary times.

In the spirit of the Easter Surprise we’ve gathered some “feel good” moments from our everyday life and our media culture—such as video clips that get shared or go viral—that surprise us and have a way of lifting us up. Every now and then, it’s good to be inspired and to experience the goodness of the human spirit—the human spirit Jesus Christ saves and leads to our Father in heaven.
Childhood stress and trauma can impact a child's ability to learn and lead to depression, substance abuse, and lower life expectancy in adulthood - but that's not the whole story. WTTW Chicago will broadcast this program on April 19 at 2:00 PM and April 23 at 3:30 AM.

St. Hubert School Students joined the Archdiocese of Chicago for #ChalkYourWalk! Students and families took to their sidewalks to share messages of School Spirit and uplifting positive images. Chalk images flooded in from students that reminded us of Jesus’ presence in this journey, how he is with us, and we are all still together even though we may be physically apart. The uniqueness of St. Hubert School is its sense of community, its sense of belonging, and Christ’s presence in what we do.
