Gently used or new prizes are needed for the picnic for both adults and kids. Donations for prizes can be dropped off at the Parish Ministry Center. Can you help on the day of the picnic? St. Hubert School participated in this year’s Hoffman Estates 4th of July parade by throwing candy to parade watchers. The parade, which went down Illinois Blvd., was attended by many in the community that St. Hubert is such a big part of. Parade watchers were encouraged to “Stay Cool at St. Hubert School” and free popsicles were handed out to beat the heat on a hot 4th of July!

A sponsor is an active Catholic that is willing to be a companion to someone going through the RCIA process. Sponsors are not meant to have all the answers. Their main role is to be a friend and a companion on the journey.

A companion is a practicing Catholic who provides a supportive presence to someone preparing to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. The companion does not have to teach; they simply make the commitment to attend the RCIA learning sessions and liturgical celebrations. The only requirement is faith and a welcoming attitude.
We are looking for married couples of all ages, committed to their marriages and willing to share their experiences to help others. You can be a part of a faith community that is a source of encouragement, support, and fun.

We are currently looking to form a larger RCIA team. Practicing Catholics are urged to prayerfully consider this opportunity. Team members provide support for inquirers and sponsors in several ways. Team members minister by being involved in prayer, scripture, hospitality, logistics, and many other areas. Training will be provided.
During the day the kids went to daily Mass, did a decade of the rosary, and learned about the sorrowful mysteries and the sacraments. The teens at night prayed, had spiritual talks, small group discussions, and wacky games.
