Join Fr. Fred Licciardi C.PP.S. at the Catholic Minds - Catholic Matters series continues on April 11, 18 & 25 with our Spring Easter Series: Scripture exploration into the questions Jesus asked. Good teachers provide good answers, but exceptional teachers ask great questions.

Creating Competitive Advantage at April 9, 7:00—9:15 PM in the Saint Hubert Ministry Center. Join us as Bob Placko, former Senior Vice president Human Resources, Motorola takes us through the key steps in creating competitive advantage as a job seeker and in the interview. Whether you are a newcomer to the Saint Hubert Job and Networking Ministry or one of our members, feel free to attend the Job Seeker’s Exchange meeting between 6:00—7:00 PM, 2nd floor of the Ministry Center, Dorothy Day Room. Our team members will be there to facilitate an exchange of career information guaranteed to help your job search.

This training will provide the skills and self-confidence needed for those who wish to become lectors in their own parish.  Open to adults and high school students. Please email Deacon Allen (atatara@archchicago.org) prior to registering for the training. A mandatory follow up session will take place at St. Hubert on April 26th at 7pm.

Chose from 1 of 2 dates: April 7 or April 28. A follow up session will take place here at St. Hubert that will include a practicum on the particular practices for distribution of the Eucharist.

We are recruiting for the coming school year beginning in September. Our greatest need, at present, is in the Confirmation Program where we have two vacancies. We meet in the school on Sunday evenings from 7:20—9:00 PM. We also need a 6th Grade teacher who has an interest in teaching scripture for a class on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00—5:45 PM. 

On Holy Thursday and on Holy Saturday the celebration of the Eucharist is permitted only at the Mass of the Lord’s Supper (Thursday evening) and at the Vigil on Holy Saturday. No Eucharist is celebrated on Good Friday.  This gives us a wonderful opportunity to come together for a different form of liturgy: Liturgy of the Hours. We will begin each morning of the Triduum - Thursday, March 29; Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31 with the celebration of Morning Prayer at 8:30 AM in the church.

June 17-June 22 - Five Days of Faith, Friends & Fun. Kid’s Day Camp: Grades 1 through 6 & Teen Program: Junior High and High School. Registration Begins May 1. Open for details.

Training to be a Bereavement Minister will be at Holy Family Parish in  Inverness on Saturday,  April 7th from 10:30 AM to 3:45 PM. If you are interested in becoming a Bereavement Minister here at St. Hubert, please contact Lynn Howard at847-885-7700, ext. 113 or lhoward@sainthubert.org. Follow-up training will be scheduled after this workshop.  

There Were 44 units of blood drawn. The units collected will potentially save 132 lives!!! Thanks to all of those who gave unselfishly of themselves to help others. We are having problems merging the Parishioner data files with Overt Press, the envelope provider. If you have experienced problems over the last few months please know we are addressing the issue. We will be converting to a new web-based Parish Data system over the next couple of months. I appreciate your patience and understanding. We will make sure there are plenty of generic envelopes in the Narthex.

Encore 55+ invites you to join us at Noon on May 5th for a Docent Led Tour of the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center. Bus transportation is provided from the Parish Ministry Center to Skokie. The Encore 55+ group will be selling tickets after the 4:30 Mass on April 7 and after morning Masses on April 8.
