As we walk the close-by neighborhood and offer our songs to willing listeners, we will gift them with candy canes. After warming the hearts of our neighbors, we will return to the narthex and warm our noses and toes while enjoying hot chocolate and cookies.

Violence against women and girls is one of the most widespread, persistent and devastating human rights violations in our world today. The premise of the day is to raise awareness of the fact that women around the world are subject to rape, domestic violence and other forms of violence; furthermore, one of the aims of the day is to highlight that the scale and true nature of the issue is often hidden.
