Do you wish you could be part of a ministry at Sunday Mass, but are told you are too young? Well, here’s an opportunity for you! If you are entering 5th grade in the fall, you can be an altar server at Mass. This is a great way to become even more familiar with the Mass, be involved and begin giving back to God and the Church. Training for new servers will be held in the church from 6:30—8:00 PM. We request that one parent/guardian attend training with the new server.
St. Hubert has been designated a “Teaching Parish” by Mundelein Seminary, the graduate school of theology of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Last week we learned about Ryan Brady and David Jameson. This weekend, Tom Heathershaw will be speaking at all the Masses about how God has called him to discern the priesthood, and how the seminary is helping form him into a future parish priest.
Prayer Shawls will be blessed this weekend during the 4:30 PM Mass on Saturday and during the 7:30, 9:00 and 10:45 AM Masses on Sunday. Members of St. Hubert Prayer Shawl Ministry will be in the narthex before and after these Masses to give out shawls to those who have a need for the physical or spiritual comfort that these shawls can provide. They can be used for comfort (such as illness or grieving) and also for celebration (such as marriage, new birth, special birthdays or anniversaries).
The Stewards of St. Hubert will be selling Taste of St. Hubert Tickets after all Masses this weekend. Tickets are $1 each or 11 for $10. Open this news article to view the menu.
