A Transitional Housing Program for Homeless Families, July Update

St. Hubert Parish is holding our annual Fall Blood Drive on Sunday, November 12 in the lower level of church from 8:00 AM—2:00 PM.

Our next food collection is on September 2nd & 3rd. Now is the time to remind yourself that there are other kids that are not as lucky as yours, lunch may have to be skimped on so there's enough for dinner! Everyone needs a helping hand now and then….Please do what you can!

Basic 2 Week Training for Ministers of Care will be held at Holy Family Parish (2515 W. Palatine Rd. Inverness, IL 60067) on two Saturdays, September 9th and September 16th  from 8:30 AM—2:30 PM There is no cost to attend these sessions. We want to get everyone interested in this ministry interviewed and registered for this fall program by September 1st.

Children’s Ministry of Initiation (CM) is a family centered program. If you wish to have your child initiated (receive the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, Eucharist) into the Catholic Church, but have not been actively practicing and wish to resume practicing, this process would be a great place for your family to journey together.

Why might you be thinking about this, now, as an adult? What do I do next?

If you are new to St. Hubert or have been here for a while but have not had time to register and are interested in joining our parish family, please join us after the 10:45 AM Mass today, Sunday, August 27th in the lower level of the church. We'll gather for about one hour to share a meal, find out about the parish and complete your registration.

This weekend’s second collection is for the Trinity Dome to complete the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC, before its 100th anniversary. 

Help the Knights of Columbus hand out Tootsie Rolls and collect contributions. Proceeds are donated to our Church GIFT Programs and local charities supporting those with intellectual disabilities. On September 15 & 16, anyone over 18 can work two hour shifts at corners and stores in the area. We will also be collecting after all Masses at our churches on September 16 & 17. Sign up online at www.HoffmanSchaumburgKnights.com or email info@HoffmanSchaumburgKnights.com for more information or to volunteer.

We are now taking applications for the Peer Ministry Team for the 2017-2018 school year. The St. Hubert Peer Ministry Team is made up of high school teens who are sharing their faith with their peers.

The Hoffman Schaumburg Knights of Columbus Council #6964 would like to thank the St. Hubert parishioners who helped support our fundraising efforts during the weekend of July 22nd & 23rd. Of the ten raffle prizes, five St. Hubert parishioners were winners. One was a $500 grand prize winner and four won $50 each.  The 5 remaining $50 prizes were won by members of neighboring parishes.     Thank you again for all your support.
