Catholic Charities New Hope Apartments: A Transitional Housing Program for Homeless Families

Recap:  This family consists of a mother with two daughters ages 14 and 7 years old.
Our mom is still working on her goals. She reports that she is doing well with paying down some of her credit card debt. She would like to save more, but her car continues to need work.
 
Things are pretty much the same from the previous months. She is still working full time hours for the summer. She is currently advocating for herself to remain as a full-time employee throughout the year. She enjoys the job and her supervisor likes her work ethic. She reported that she has spoken to a couple of people at the agency letting them know she would like to be considered when new positions open up. She is also still on the waiting list for low income housing. The children are stable.

Recap:  Single mom with a son.
Our mom is trying to stay focused on her goals and is working part time as a bartender for extra money. She continues to have a difficult time saving due to car problems. Thankfully, she reported that she has not had to fix her car since last month, although previous repairs financially set her back. Her son is doing well, is in summer camp, and continues to go the therapy weekly. She reports that his behavior has improved this summer.
