Sarah was a young woman with two children when she entered the Catholic Charities New Hope Apartments program. She had been in foster care most of her life, and needed to learn basic skills to be a good parent and successful adult. Catholic Charities worked with her to break the cycle of poverty and helped her learn budgeting and parenting skills. She blossomed before her case manager’s eyes and went on to have a successful career, marry and has a great family thanks to the compassion and hope she received at Catholic Charities which serves the poor of Cook and Lake County.
