The protection of life is a sustained prayer intention of the Church, and in particular of the Knights of Columbus. Knights remain firmly committed to defending the right to life of every human being – from the moment of conception to natural death. To commemorate and bolster this important cause, Council #6964 is promoting a Novena for Life, nine days of sustained prayer, to build up a culture of life in our parishes, homes and wider community.
The 9 Day Novena intentions will focus on…
► Culture of life
► Every life worth saving
► Justice and healing for domestic and sexual abuse
► Adoption – a worthy cause
► Lost children from abortion
► Human trafficking
► Christian refugee persecution
► Life’s end
► Respecting all life
The Novena for Life will commence on Sunday May 5
th and culminate on May 13
th with the parishes’ celebration of the May Crowning. On Sunday, May 5
th The Knights of Columbus will be handing out Prayer Cards in collaboration with the Respect Life Committee, and will also be seeking your participation in signing a petition against current legislation advancing abortion in Illinois.
