Boy Scout Troop 399 WILL BE holding their annual school supply collection to support the inner city families that we have been working with for 25 years through the Grant A Wish organization. We’re currently working out details on how to run a socially safe event in August. We count heavily on the generosity of the St. Hubert family to support our ongoing efforts.

Troop 399 is very proud of its 44 year history of turning out young men that understand service to the community, citizenship, servant leadership and Duty to God. Over these 44 years, the Troop has been honored to have over 90 boys attain the level of Eagle Scout. This year seven of our scouts will be graduating from high schools in the area. It is a great feat that all seven have stayed in the Boy Scouts, as a group, since sixth grade. But the truly amazing feat is that all seven will be Eagle scouts. We are proud to introduce you to the team:

Due to the Thanksgiving Food Drive on the weekend of November 23 & 24, there will be no food collection held on the first weekend of November 2 & 3. Information about the Thanksgiving Food Drive will appear in future bulletins.

On September 14 & 15, Troop 399 will be selling World’s Finest Chocolate in the narthex after Masses to raise funds for the Eagle Project of Michael Savage. The project will benefit Almost Home Foundation, a local non -profit animal shelter.

Troop 399 wants to thank all of the members of the parish family that participated in the school supply collection. A mound of backpacks, hundreds of spiral pads, gallons of glue, and reams of notebook paper were delivered last weekend to Vital Thomas of the Grant A Wish organization. 35 cartons in all.  They had a goal of providing 250 backpacks with supplies. Our collection went a long way toward that goal. Thank you all.

The Boy Scouts would like to thank the parishioners for their support with the recent Christmas Wreath sale. Thanks to your generosity, the Scouts sold a record 75 wreaths over one weekend. These funds will help provide new camping equipment, training equipment and program supplies for the year.

Pick out a 12” white, orange, yellow, purple or burgundy mum to take home with you. The cost for each mum will be $20. All proceeds will benefit the Eagle Scout Project of Alex Grogman.

Thanks to the generosity of the St. Hubert Community, the Boy Scouts were able to collect many school supplies. Last week the boys sorted and packaged all these supplies. There were delivered on Saturday to the Grant-A-Wish organization in Chicago. Thank you again for your support.

Cub Scout Pack 399 will be selling World’s Finest Chocolate Bars and Meat Sticks after Masses this weekend. All meat sticks and chocolate bars are $1. Money raised will go toward camping trips, camping supplies, the blue & gold banquet, and other activities.
