As we travel through this period day by day, we need to hold each other in prayer and to rely on our faith. As the author in the letter to the Hebrews urges us, let’s “Keep our eyes fixed on Christ” (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus urges us to come to him and he will help shoulder our burden (Mt 11:28). So, let’s keep our eyes fixed on him. And let us pray for each other,

We begin our celebration of 60 years as a parish with a special day of prayer. Please join us Wednesday, March 18, anytime between noon and midnight, to pray for our parish in front of the Blessed Sacrament. 3rd Sunday of Lent: In absence of the celebration of Mass, please join us in this prayer, which unites us to Christ and to each other at St. Hubert.  

I never thought I’d have to deliver news like this.  Because of the recent events surrounding COVID-19, Cardinal Cupich mandated the suspension of Masses and liturgical services until further notice—beginning with tomorrow’s 4:30 PM Mass.   In this notice, you’ll find: The Archdiocesan communication with the mandate to suspend services. What we can do as a parish to stay connected and focused on Christ during this extraordinary time.

The Stewards for St. Hubert will be coordinating the Annual Easter Cleaning of the Church on Saturday, April 4th 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM. We will be working in the narthex and the main church cleaning the pews, windows, vacuuming out the dust bunnies, and many other projects. Anyone over 13 is welcome to attend. Come for an hour or for the entire time. There is a sign up sheet on the kiosk in the narthex.

This seminar helps Christians find a fuller, deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit. They provide teachings, small groups, and prayer and worship. This is a series of six talks at St. Hubert Church (729 Grand Canyon St, Hoffman Estates) on Friday nights thru Apr 17, 8 – 10 PM (Parish Stations of the Cross begins at 7 PM). Best of all, it’s FREE!

A parishioner, Patrick Fleming, has offered to repair broken rosaries. There will be drop off receptacles at the ministry station in the narthex, and rosaries can be dropped off there. Please donate any unused, broken rosaries so that their parts can be used to repair member’s rosaries. In addition to repairing rosaries, Patrick makes rosaries for the missions, and he also accepts any rosaries people wish to donate.

The Lenten Scrutinies will be celebrated at the following Masses: the  3rd  Sunday of  Lent at the 10:45 AM Mass, the  4th  Sunday of Lent at the  12:15 PM Mass, and the 5th  Sunday of Lent at  the 9:00 AM Mass. Through the solemn laying on of hands by the presider and the community, we invoke the power of the Holy Spirit, so that the elect may be transformed and recreated.
