A parishioner, Patrick Fleming, has offered to repair broken rosaries. There will be drop off receptacles at the ministry station in the narthex, and rosaries can be dropped off there. In addition to repairing rosaries, Patrick makes rosaries for the missions, and he also accepts any rosaries people wish to donate. Those can also be dropped off in the narthex in the receptacle marked “Rosaries”.

Last week during Mass, I mentioned that, working with the Parish Council and Finance Council, we have realized that this is the year we will need to tackle some expectations that have been placed upon us as being part of the larger Church in the Archdiocese—to participate in the To Teach Who Christ Is campaign—as well as being part of the Village of Hoffman Estates—to install a fire prevention sprinkling system in the school to be in compliance with the village ordinance.

St. Hubert Prayer Shawl Ministry will hold it's next meeting on Sunday, February 4 at 1:15 PM in the Dorothy Day Room in the Parish Ministry Center. This meaningful ministry has been going strong for over 11 years and has made and distributed several hundred beautiful shawls to members of our community. The shawls are crocheted or knitted on your own time in a prayerful way. An example: While waiting in a doctor's office, instead of getting stressed over the long waiting time, working on a prayer shawl is calming and guaranteed to elicit comments and questions about our ministry. We are always looking for new members - Won't you consider joining our group?
